Description
Acrylic paint on canvas & Ink and coloured pencil on paper collaged. 80x80cm.
This is one of my final paintings for my university project which was exhibited in the university show 'In.Flux'
It is inspired by my childhood. I aimed to create a storybook like image based on combining my childhood imagination with reality, creating a surreal landscape and then adding objects i would see or played with as a child, but exaggerating them a little using my imagination.
The woman walking on the stepping stones is inspired by one of my favorite childhood memories.
Over all i am really happy with how it came out (although wish i drew the woman a lot better!)
I use no references for my landscapes, only for the creatures.
